Sports betting is more popular than ever and as each state start to make sports betting legal. Sports betting will be the new norm over the next 10 years. Below are some Sports Betting tips provided by ChartAttack.com
Source –Don’t Bet on Sports you don’t follow
The first thing we want to emphasize is that you want to bet on matches in a particular sport first and foremost because you love the sport. So why not to make money when you already spend time watching sports events. If you are watching matches in NBA, EuroLeague, UEFA Champions League, NFL, hockey or baseball league, or any other sport, focus on that one.
Get Familiar with Odds
Not much wisdom when it comes to odds. Let’s take an example from real life. For example, you decide to bet on NBA games. The first game on the list, for example, the Western Conference game between L.A. Lakers and L.A. Clippers. The match is attractive and you decide to bet on the winner. It’s important now to check the odds. Lower odds are usually for the favorite in this match, while a rival with less chance of winning has bigger odds.
Select the Online Bookmaker
It is always important to choose reliable things in life, no matter what it is. So, it’s the same when you decide to bet on sports events. One of the basic things is to choose the right online bookmaker, as you’ll probably bet online. There are a lot of online bookmakers, so it can be really difficult for a beginner to decide.
Think Twice Before Making your Final Decision
As we said at the beginning, you want to bet because you love sports and because that passion for sports and the knowledge you possess can earn you extra money. Therefore, love is what drives you.
However, it is not good to always rely on love when it comes to sports betting. Imagine your favorite team playing a match with a big rival, such as El Clásico or some other great derby. In this case, you need to think rationally, with your head and not your heart.
Never Give Up
It’s not easy at first. No matter what you do, there are always mistakes that you can regret later. However, there is one great quote by Joel Osteen that can motivate you to move on, even if it’s sports betting:
“No matter how many times you get knocked down, keep getting back up. God sees your resolve. He sees your determination. And when you do everything you can do, that’s when God will step in and do what you can’t do.”
I would like to add a few more tips. Let me reiterate the 5th one, ‘Never Give Up’ is huge. You are going to loose in the beginning, but if you keep at and learn. You will eventually become a winner.
6th Tip: Don’t Bet to Often
You shouldn’t be betting no more than 1 to 3 picks per day. The max is 3 picks. You don’t have to bet everyday. Control the amount of picks you make. Control how often you bet. Bet when you see a edge.
7th Tip: Bankroll Management
This should be the number one sports betting tip. Establish a bankroll management plan. I would say don’t bet more than 2% of your bankroll on any bet. This isn’t a sprint. The goal is longtime steady income.
Source: Despite 42 points from Damian Lillard, the shorthanded Portland Trail Blazers fell 117-114 to the Utah Jazz on Friday night in Salt Lake City after a missed goaltending call in the closing seconds of the game that Blazers coach Terry Stotts called “inexcusable.”
With the Blazers down 116-114, Lillard had his driving layup attempt blocked by Utah’s Rudy Gobert with 13.5 seconds left, but the block came after the ball hit the backboard, meaning it should have been ruled goaltending. The officials did not make that call, however, and the play was not reviewable because it was not called as a goaltend on the court.
The Blazers (24-29) had one more chance after Joe Ingles missed one of two free throws, but Caleb Swanigan’s corner three-pointer rattled out at the buzzer and the Jazz (33-18) held on for the victory to snap their five-game losing skid.
CJ McCollum had 27 points for the Blazers, who were down to just seven available players after Anfernee Simons took a hard fall and suffered a concussion late in the first quarter and Trevor Ariza was ejected for arguing with an official early in the second quarter.
This could have been fixed on the court. If we can clearly see it’s a goaltend on TV, without the replay. I know 1 out 3 officials were in position to see the play. We all know NBA officials swallow the whistle on any play in the last few seconds of a close game. This one could cost a Portland a playoff berth. Portland need every win they can get. Every game they play counts at this point. Teams should have some more control in the last two minutes of the game. Teams should have one challenge that they can utilize in the last two minutes of the game.
