The NASCAR Cup Series is in Charlotte tonight for the Coca Cola 600-mile race. Qualifying didn’t take place until 2pm eastern.
The start of the race is 6pm eastern. Chevrolet took the top 6 pole positions in the race. Below are the drivers I will focus on.
Kyle Busch – Starting Position 11: The Vegas odds favorite to win the race. Kyle will be in the mix.
Martin Truex Jr. – Starting Position 8: Finished in top 5 in his last 7 races at Charlotte. Clearly he likes this track more than others. He will be highly owned.
Kevin Harvick – Starting Position 22: Like his starting position. He will move up positions during the race. Harvick is arguably the best racer in NASCAR
Chase Elliott – Starting Position 3: Finished in the top 5 in 2 of his last 3 starts at Charlotte. He is one of the favorites to win the race.
Alex Bowman – Starting Position 12: Very steady at this track. Expect him to make up track position and finish the race.
Brad Keselowski – Starting Position 9: One of the favorites to win the race +900. Finished in top 10 in 6 of his last 11 starts at Charlotte.
Denny Hamlin – Starting Position 13: Another driver who could be considered the best in NASCAR. I like his starting position. He has finished in the Top 5 in 3 of his last 4 starts at Charlotte.
Joey Logano – Starting Position 7: Won two races this year. Finished 2nd in this race last year.
Jimmy Johnson – Starting Position 2: Won at this track 1 time in his last 5 starts. Expect him to lead some laps.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – Starting Position 17: He is very steady at this track. Look for somebody that will finish the race, he is the pick at a decent price $7400.
Aric Almirola – Starting Position 40: Not sure what happened during qualifying but he didn’t qualify. He is steady at this track and can make up a lot of track positions. He has finished in the top 15 in his last 2 starts at Charlotte.
These are just a few drivers to consider in your lineups. This is a 600 mile race. If you have a driver to go out early, your lineup is done. This is a true marathon. Focus on past performance and drivers that don’t crash. Improve your chance for winning by entering contests that have max individual entries to 5 or less.
My Pick to win the race: Chase Elliott +800
